CAN I FACE MY RABBIT DIRECTION EVEN IF IT IS BAD?
Q
I’m a Rabbit born with Kua number 8. According to the Fortune and Feng Shui book my rabbit direction is EAST, but under the Kua formula, this is a bad direction for me. Can I still face this direction since it is my Rabbit direction?
A
Yes certainly you can face your Rabbit direction, except in years of the Rabbit as the Grand Duke Jupiter enters the Rabbit location during those years. The Rabbit direction brings you general good luck and it overrides the bad Kua direction. Do remember however that in the Year of the Wood Horse (this year), the Rabbit’s direction is afflicted with illness, and you could get sick facing this direction. If you must face this direction, then place a Wu Lou in front of you to soak up the illness vibes.
RHINO AND ELEPHANT FOUNTAIN IN THE NORTHWEST
QI have a Rhino and Elephant Water Fountain that I have place in the NW of our living room. I know that in 2014 the NW should not be activated. Should I move the fountain?
A
Yes please do move it! The Rhino and Elephant Water Fountain is the cure for subduing the #7 star, and this year it has flown into the Northeast. Best to move the Rhino and Elephant fountain into the Northeast corner and out of the NW immediately. The #7 star is very strong this year – so I also recommend hanging the Anti-Burglary Plaque in the Northeast if you have an entrance or a window there.
MISSING FIRE FROM MY PAHT CHEE
QI’ve been reading Lillian Too’s “Secret of Your Birth Chart” and discovered that I’m missing the fire element from my chart. I am a Metal Rooster and my self-element is metal. According to the book, my elements are out of balance and I should wear red or have bright lights in the south sector of my house to compensate for the missing fire element. I am wondering if I could have a coloured tattoo of a flaming Phoenix on my chest, instead of wearing red all the time?
AI generally not a great fan of tattoos because they are so permanent. Rather than a tattoo, can I suggest you wear a Phoenix Pendant or charm with you at all times? This will also be very beneficial! The Horse is also an excellent symbol of fire energy – and it also brings you Peach Blossom luck!
REPUTATION ATTACKED BY FRIENDS AND STRANGERS
QDear Aunt Agga, Lately my good name and reputation are being attacked by people both close to me as well as by total strangers. All my good deeds and achievements in the past are being overlooked. Why is this happening? Please help!
A
My dear I suspect that you have become victim to the #3 star quarrelsome star! This is a really annoying star that makes people find fault with you. The #3 star appears in the flying star charts as well as the annual charts. If you haven’t moved house or bedrooms lately, then it is likely the annual or monthly #3 star is causing you this problem. In 2014 the #3 star is in the Southeast which is very STRONG! If you are a Dragon, Snake or have a bedroom/entrance here, or are facing this direction at work, then you will suffer its ill-effects. You need FIRE to counter this. Place the red 9 Amulet Cure (specially designed to deal with this hostile star) in the Southeast and things will start to ease up soon! Good luck for the new year!
CAN I PLACE MY VASE NEAR THE FRONT DOOR?
QMy wife and I bought two 10-inch vases with butterfly motif with the intention to display it in the cabinet which is in front our main door. We live in an apartment and the main door leads direct to the balcony; hence the cabinet is to ‘slow down’ the chi flowing from the main door and not let it escape to the balcony. Are there any taboos on putting vases facing the front door?
A
Actually it is not a good idea to place vases that are meant to collect wealth Chi facing the main door. Vases for containing flowers are not the same as wealth vases. The vase you mentioned sounds like a wealth vase. Do not place it facing large windows or doorways. It should be kept deep inside the home. Specially consecrated wealth vases that contain images of the Wealth deity, jewels and precious things should never be shown to outsiders. They should be kept hidden away inside a cabinet facing away from doors and windows.
MY BED AND FURNITURE FACING BAD DIRECTIONS
QI’m a Water Boar and according to Lillian’s Fortune and Feng Shui books they say the NW and NE directions are both not auspicious in 2014 and recommends I face SW. This is very tricky for me as moving my bed or my furniture will cause me to sit facing the windows and sleep with my head under the glass window. How do I resolve this?
A
In 2014 the NW has the Five Yellow and the NE has the #7 star. Both are very dangerous stars and that is why they are not auspicious. Since you cannot face SW, are you able to try West? West is a good direction under the West Group directions. If you really cannot change your facing directions, then there is no other choice I’m afraid. Remedy these two locations in your home with the cures to reduce the bad luck it brings.
WHERE TO HANG WEDDING PHOTOS, PORTRAITS & GRADUATION PICS
QI love reading your column in Feng Shui World. I would like to know where to hang my wedding photos, family portrait and graduation photos in my house. Do I move these photos when a sector is afflicted during the month or year?
A
Thank you my dear, I love this writing this column too! For wedding and family photos the best location is in the Southwest or Centre, as these two sectors represent family happiness and harmony. Graduation pictures can be hung also in these locations or in the South (recognition) or Northeast (knowledge). Single Portraits can be hung according to the Pakua formula depending on the family members: Father (Northwest), Mother (Southwest), Sons (Northeast) and Daughters (Southeast). You don’t have to move the photos every month due to the flying star afflictions, however do place the cures in these sectors when the afflictions arrive.
WHAT ANIMAL SIGN SHOULD MY SECOND CHILD BE?
QI am planning to have another child and would like to know what sign should the new baby should be? I am a Wood Rat and my husband is a Wood Tiger. We have a daughter born a Fire Dog. Thanks for your help!
A
Congratulations on your wish for a second child. A Horse child is highly compatible with both your husband and your daughter as the HORSE is the ally of both the Tiger and the Dog. However the Horse will clash with you as you are a Rat (they are enemies) unless you have a Horse in the hour pillar of your Paht Chee chart. Alternatively you can wait for the Monkey year – the Monkey will get on very well with you (it is your ally) but bear in mind it is the enemy of the Tiger (sigh!) and will clash with your husband. A Rooster child will work with everyone in the household although they have special affinity with the Dog and the Rat. Sheep children are not compatible with any of the signs in your household so opt for the Horse, Monkey or the Rooster.
