HOUSE FACES BAD LUCK DIRECTION
Q My husband and I are both Kua number 8 but our house faces South. We just signed a lease and cannot move for next 3 years! What can we do?
A The good news is that South is not your worse direction. South is your HO HAI (minor bad luck) direction and this is relatively easy to deal with. IF you have another entrance into the house (e.g. sliding door) that faces your good direction, then use this door to enter the house. If you do not have this, then my advice is to hang two windchimes at your door, and place two bushy plants there. Wood and Metal can reduce the bad effects of the Ho Hai. This is a good temporary measure until you can find a more suitable house.
IS A HILL IN FRONT OF MY HOUSE BAD FENG SHUI?
Q I’m looking to buy a house which has a hill on the right hand side of the main gate. As soon as I open the gate, I see the hill on my right and the location is about 10 houses away only. Is this bad in terms of feng shui?
A Without looking at your property I can’t really say for sure. However, a hill on the right is fine – as long as you can also see a higher hill on the left side (standing from inside looking out) and back. If you only have a hill on the right and no hills at the back or left side, then according to landscape formation feng shui rules, this is not an auspicious property. The “Tiger” overpowers the “Dragon”. Houses with “Tiger” problems tend to have difficulties with their eldest sons in general. Unless you have no children, I would give this house a miss.
SHOULD I CHANGE JOBS THIS YEAR?
Q I am OX. I heard that we conflict Tai Sui this year so better not to change jobs. But I have found a better job than my present job. Kindly advise if I I should move into my new job this year?
A Yes the Ox’s luck is afflicted as you are facing the Tai Sui. Carry the Tai Sui Amulet this year. Yes you can change jobs if the new one is significantly better than your current one. However, bear in mind that next year will be a challenge for you as you have the Five Yellow and you must lay low. You might be better off staying at y o u r current work place where you are familiar with your boss and the people you work with. A new work place might not necessarily be a happier place to work. If your new job is a more demanding one – then I would think twice before taking it.
IS IT OK TO SLEEP WITH THE FOUR CELESTIAL ANIMALS ABOVE OUR HEADBOARD?
Q Is it OK to place the four celestial animals painting above the headboard of bed? The location of this wall is between Southeast and South.
A I do not recommend placing all four of them above your head when you are sleeping. Actually the four guardians are usually placed outside the house or in public spaces of the home. Best not to hang it in your bedroom and definitely not above your head.
FALSE ACCUSATIONS GOT MY HUSBAND ARRESTED
Q An office co-worker has brought false charges against my husband. He is now facing arrest and court. This will destroy my family especially if he goes to jail. He did not do what he is being accused of. What can we do?
A I’m very sorry to hear this. You need strong help from Guru Rinpoche and Tara. Please invite the images of Guru Rinpoche and Tara into your home immediately and start chanting their mantras daily (8 malas a day). Place Guru Rinpoche in the Northwest and Tara in the Southwest. Tara’s mantra is OM TARE TUTTARE TURE SOHA and Guru Rinpoche’s mantra is OM AH HUM BENZA GURU PEMA SIDDHI HUNG and dedicate to making this matter go away quickly. You should also chant the Heart Sutra every morning. You MUST stay strong for your family. Don’t give up –there is hope.
STOVE FACES NORTHWEST
Q Is it ok for my induction stove to face the Northwest direction?
A The Northwest is the direction of the Patriarch. Fire at the Patriarch’s direction creates a dangerous formation. Not a good idea. Better to let your stove face the South if you can.
MOVING OLD CURES TO NEW HOUSE
Q I will be moving to a new home soon. Can I transfer all my old feng shui cures to the new home? Is there a moving-in ritual I can do to make it auspicious?
A When moving into a new home, always make sure you select an auspicious date and auspicious hour for this. This information is available from Lillian Too’s Feng Shui Calendar. Whatever you do, avoid moving on your Conflict Day i.e. if you are a Rooster, don’t move on a Rabbit day. The entire moving-in ritual is quite long –so I’ll just explain the most important part here. When moving, always start by offering incense around the house and introducing yourself to the local spirit landlords. Tell them you’re moving in and offer them incense as a peace-welcome offering. Yes, you can move in all your existing sacred feng shui cures but I recommend getting fresh new ones for the following: windchimes, five element pagodas and the golden wu lou – these are tired and have already absorbed a lot of bad energy from your previous house. Any cure that has chipped or broken should not be brought into your new house.
WILL MY LUCK CHANGE NEXT YEAR?
Q I am an Ox. When can my overall luck change in general? This year has been a little bumpy but manageable. Hoping my luck will be better next year.
A This is a mixed year for you. On one hand you have the Heavenly 6 which is very auspicious – it brings you plenty of help from those around you. The Ox is however facing the Tai Sui –so obstacles abound. You must make the most of this year as your luck does NOT improve next year. This year, carry the Tai Sui Amulet. Next year, you have the Five Yellow so you must wear Gold and install Five Yellow cures by 22 December 2015. This is VERY IMPORTANT and if possible – don’t miss Lillian Too’s Extravaganza as she will explain how you can overcome the Monkey year’s affliction.
WHERE CAN I HAVE MY DRAGONFLY OR BEE TATTOO?
Q I am interested in getting either a small bee or dragonfly tattoo. Where on my body would be a good placement for a bee or dragonfly?
A These are excellent. Bees and Dragon flies have very auspicious meanings. You can tattoo it on your upper arm or ankles. Do not tattoo it anywhere near your pulse points, neck or head.
