1. WRITE WHAT YOU WANT 49 TIMES TO MAKE YOUR WISHES COME TRUE
If there is something you want very badly, write it down 49 times in good handwriting and then burn it, and as you do so, silently ask the Gods of the Winds to bring you what you wish for. Put plenty of goodwill into your wishes as you write. You can also tie your 49 wishes onto a balloon and send them into the skies. Or you can write your wish down 49 times for 49 days. According to the Taoists, the 49 day ritual is especially powerful for bringing you a new romance, even a potential marriage partner.
2. DEVELOP A GOOD FORTUNE SIGNATURE
When you sign your name, make sure that irrespective of how you start, always end it with an upward stroke. This brings the energy of the mountain to whatever you put your name to and ensures that you will have a good ending that signifies increase. Try never to sign your name ending with a downward stroke. This is not necessarily something that comes spontaneously, so do develop a good fortune signature.
3. ALWAYS WRITE WITH YOUR OWN PEN
It is preferable to write your letters with your own pen, as borrowing the pen of someone else carries their energy not yours. For your correspondence to carry your own energy, use your own pen. And never sit on your pen or walk over it (e.g. when it is placed in a bag and you walk over it.)
4. PUT A RED DOT ON APPLICATION FORMS TO BRING SUCCESS
This is a Taoist secret that has proved extremely powerful for fulfilling our desires. When writing a job application or when filling in forms for scholarships or for university entrances, it always increases your chances of success if you use a red dot sticker on the envelope before sending the application through the post. This will empower your forms with a magnetic impact, making sure your application does not get missed. The red dot generates a special kind of controlling energy. Try it and be surprised!
5. PUT PRESSURE ON THE DOUBLE LETTERS IN YOUR NAME
If your name has double letters, e.g. double n as in Jennifer, or double t as in Patty, emphasizing the two letters will double your good fortune. The Chinese are very fond of the doubling phenomenon bringing good fortune, as in the double happiness character, as it is believed that the doubling of any sound always brings good fortune. Likewise the doubling of numbers such as 11, 22, 33 and so forth. If your birthday falls on a date that has double number, such as 11 or 22, you would do well to use these as your good luck numbers.
6. USE THE POWER OF RED TO JUMP START GOOD FORTUNE
The Chinese have always believed in the uplifting power of the color red. During the Lunar New Year celebrations, we use red packets to give lucky money to our employees and to our children; when our daughters reach marriageable age we hang beautiful red lanterns in and outside the home, especially during the New Year. Brides are always advised to wear the traditional bridal dress, which is always crafted in red. Here, the element simulated is Fire energy, which has the power to lift one’s spirits and suppress all depressive energies. So every time you need some cheering up and something strong to make you feel refreshed and more optimistic, wear something red, light a red candle or write a nice letter to yourself on red paper!
7. HANG YOUR WISHES ON A WISH-FULFILLING TREE
Do this on a new moon day and let it hang through the 15 days of the waxing cycle of the moon. Any kind of small leaf tree such as a bamboo or pine tree can be used as a wish-fulfilling tree, and the more wishes that are hung on the tree by as many people as possible, the more empowered the wishes will be. Write your wishes on yellow paper to signify increasing i.e. as if you want to increase your wealth or your knowledge. Write on red paper if it has to do with love, and write on white paper with a black pen if you want a promotion. No need to take the wishes down; let the wind and rain eventually dissolve the paper.
